Job Overview

  • GCT Group is looking to hire an experienced and highly organized Project Manager with a strong background in the travel industry.
  • The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in tour operations, travel package design, and end-to-end travel management, alongside strong expertise in Amadeus IT Group (Global Distribution System) for ticketing and reservations.
  • We are particularly interested in candidates who have successfully managed both domestic and international travel packages, delivered exceptional client experiences, and driven revenue through effective tour sales and execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and execute travel-related projects from concept to completion
  • Design and curate customized travel packages for individuals and group tours
  • Manage ticketing, bookings, and reservations using Amadeus
  • Coordinate with airlines, hotels, vendors, and tour partners
  • Lead client engagement across pre-travel, during travel, and post-travel stages
  • Ensure seamless travel operations and high customer satisfaction
  • Drive sales and close high-value tour deals
  • Monitor project timelines, performance metrics, and reporting
  • Resolve client issues efficiently to maintain service excellence

Requirements

  • Proven experience in the travel and tourism industry (Tour Manager, Tour Operator, or similar role)
  • Strong background in itinerary planning and travel package development
  • Hands-on and advanced proficiency in Amadeus GDS
  • Experience working with or alongside international airlines (e.g., Turkish Airlines is an added advantage)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and deliver high satisfaction rates
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively
  • Sales-driven mindset with experience closing travel deals

Preferred Candidate Profile:
We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have successfully managed end-to-end tour operations
  • Can demonstrate high customer satisfaction and retention rates
  • Have experience in vendor coordination, logistics, and team supervision
  • Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Are proactive, detail-oriented, and result-driven

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Relevant professional certifications in Travel & Tourism or Project Management (e.g., PMP) are an added advantage
  • Certification or formal training in Amadeus GDS is highly preferred.

What We Offer

  • Competitive Salary: N300,000 – N350,000 per month.
