Job Summary

• We are looking for a competent and proactive Trial Station Officer to manage and supervise agricultural field trials for crops including sorghum, tomatoes, lettuce, rice, corn, and other vegetables. The successful candidate will ensure proper planning, execution, monitoring, and documentation of all trial activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, establish, and manage field trials for sorghum, tomatoes, lettuce, rice, corn, and other vegetable crops.
• Monitor crop growth and ensure proper agronomic practices such as planting, irrigation, fertilization, and pest control.
• Accurately collect, record, and analyze field trial data.
• Ensure proper labeling and maintenance of all trial plots.
• Supervise farm workers involved in trial activities.
• Maintain trial station equipment and ensure compliance with research protocols.
• Prepare regular reports on trial progress and performance.

Requirements

• B.Sc. or HND in Agronomy, Crop Science, Agriculture, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in agricultural trials, farm management, or crop production.
• Knowledge of field crop and vegetable production.
• Good record-keeping and reporting skills.
• Ability to work in field conditions.

Salary
N200,000 – N250,000 monthly.
