Job Summary
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to manage financial records, ensure compliance, and support decision-making through accurate financial reporting.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for bookkeeping, preparing reports, handling payroll, and ensuring the organization complies with all statutory and regulatory obligations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain financial records of clients, including the preparation of accounts using bank statements
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and company policies
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Process payroll and statutory deductions
- Provide insights and recommendations to management on financial matters
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience (adjust based on level)
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero)
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Knowledge of Nigerian tax regulations is a plus
- ICAN/ACCA qualification or in view is an advantage
