Job Title: Chemistry Teacher

Location: GRA Ugbor Village Road, Benin City, Edo

Job Summary

• Chemistry Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons in chemistry, helping students understand scientific concepts, develop critical thinking skills, and apply knowledge to real-world situations.
• The teacher fosters a positive learning environment and supports students’ academic growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver chemistry lessons in line with the curriculum
• Teach theoretical and practical aspects of chemistry
• Conduct laboratory experiments safely and supervise students during practicals
• Assess, record, and report on students’ progress and performance
• Prepare students for internal and external examinations
• Develop instructional materials and teaching aids
• Maintain discipline and create a conducive learning environment
• Stay updated with developments in chemistry and teaching methods
• Collaborate with other teachers and school staff
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of laboratory equipment

Requirements
Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Education (Chemistry), or a related field
• Teaching certification/license (where required)

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of chemistry concepts
• Excellent teaching and communication skills
• Classroom management skills
• Ability to simplify complex topics
• Organizational and time management skills
• Practical laboratory skills
• Patience and adaptability
• ICT skills (use of digital teaching tools.

Salary
N90,000 - N200,000 per month.
