We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Akwa Ibom
Responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and cost plans aligned with approved project scope and budget allocations.
- Provide cost advisory support during project planning, design, and feasibility stages.
- Support procurement processes by preparing tender cost documentation and conducting contractor bid cost evaluations.
- Monitor project expenditures against approved cost plans and maintain accurate project cost records.
- Verify contractor payment applications through measurement and valuation of completed works.
- Evaluate cost implications of project variations and identify potential cost risks.
- Prepare cost performance reports and maintain documentation to support compliance, audit, and stakeholder decision-making.
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
- 8 - 10 years’ relevant experience in construction cost management and project cost control.
- Professional membership (e.g., NIQS or equivalent) is a requirement.
- Experience in infrastructure, oil & gas support, development, or community-based projects preferred.

- Cost estimation and BOQ preparation.
- Contract measurement and cost control.
- Procurement and tender evaluation knowledge.
- Value-for-money and cost governance awareness.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software and Excel.
