We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Accounts Officer
Location: Akwa Ibom
Responsibilities
- Process supplier invoices, staff reimbursements, and operational payments, ensuring proper verification and documentation.
- Record incoming receipts and maintain accurate accounts payable and receivable records, including follow-up on outstanding balances.
- Post financial transactions to the general and subsidiary ledgers in a timely and accurate manner.
- Perform bank, supplier, and contractor reconciliations and resolve discrepancies where identified.
- Provide payroll support, including preparation of payroll inputs and processing of staff salary, advances and reimbursements.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation of reconciliations and financial schedules.
- Maintain organized accounting records and ensure compliance with internal controls, statutory requirements, and audit processes.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field.
- Professional certification (ACCA, ACA) preferred.
- 5 years’ experience in accounting operations or accounts management.
- Proficient in accounting software (Tally, Sage, QuickBooks) and MS Office.
- Knowledge of Nigerian statutory requirements, payroll procedures, and general accounting principles.
