We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Civil Engineer
Location: Akwa Ibom
Responsibilities
- Review and validate engineering designs, drawings, BEME, and technical specifications for approved projects.
- Provide technical input during project planning and feasibility assessments.
- Supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with approved designs, specifications, and timelines.
- Verify the quality of construction materials and workmanship through regular site inspections.
- Monitor project progress, evaluate variation requests, and support certification of completed works for payment.
- Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and HSE guidelines.
- Prepare progress reports and maintain accurate technical and project documentation.
Qualification and Experience
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional registration with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) is required.
- Membership of other professional bodies, like the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Chattered Institute of Project Managers of Nigeria (CIPMN) would be an advantage.
- Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in infrastructure or construction supervision, preferably within development, oil & gas support, or community-based projects.
- Demonstrated experience in contractor supervision, site inspections, quality assurance, and certification of completed works.
- Practical understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) requirements in construction projects.

- Civil engineering design and technical supervision.

- Knowledge of building codes and engineering standards.
- Risk identification and mitigation awareness.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in engineering software and Microsoft Office.
