Job Description

• Set a framework and ensure effective implementation of tariff regulations and market monitoring to promote the development of the electricity market.
• Propose new regulations, update existing ones, and ensure their enforcement.
• Supervise and coordinate the development of methodologies, policies, procedures, and guidelines for regulating electricity tariffs.
• Oversee, review, and coordinate the process of tariff filings and applications.
• Recommend cases for hearings, coordinate and organize public hearings or other regulatory proceedings.
• Supervise and coordinate the process of obtaining approvals for new tariffs or reviewing existing tariffs.
• Manage and coordinate periodic meetings of the tariff review committee.
• Monitor and enforce compliance of operators with the approved tariff regime.
• Supervise and coordinate the determination of license fees, charges, and other fees.
• Analyse the impact of PPA on tariffs.
• Assist in review of tariff filings and applications.

Requirements

• Possession of at least a Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Accountancy, Banking & Finance or any other numerate discipline. Financial modelling an advantage.
• Minimum of 7 years' relevant experience in a related field.​
