Erkang Pharmaceuticals is a multinational manufacturer of pharmaceutical products starting up in Ilorin, Kwara State Nigeria. Erkang Pharmaceutical is one of the largest manufacturers of Large Volume Parenterals (Infusion) and other products in the world.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Security Officer

Location: Ilorin, Kwara 
Employment Type: Full-time

Description

• A security officer protects people, property, and assets by maintaining a visible presence, monitoring surveillance systems, and controlling access.
• Key duties include patrolling premises, investigating disturbances, responding to emergencies, enforcing safety policies, and filing incident reports to deter theft, vandalism, or illegal activity.

Key Responsibilities

• Emergency Response: Respond to alarms, emergencies, and alarms, including fire, medical, or security breaches, while coordinating with emergency services.
• Report Writing: Document daily activities, routine checks, and detailed reports on any security breaches or incidents.
• Safety & Compliance: Enforce company policies and safety procedures to ensure a secure environment for staff and visitors.
• Deterrence & Action: Act as a visible deterrent to criminal behavior, apprehending trespassers or detaining individuals until law enforcement arrives
• Patrolling & Surveillance: Conduct regular patrols of the interior and perimeter, checking doors, windows, and gates to ensure they are secure. Monitor CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and security equipment.
• Access Control: Monitor visitor logs, check staff/visitors in and out, and issue security passes to prevent unauthorized access

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting and interacting with the public.
• Observation: High level of situational awareness and attention to detail.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to walk, stand for long periods, and sometimes work in varied weather conditions.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with CCTV systems, security software, and radio equipment.
