Job Title: Business Development Manager

Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Role Overview

  • The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing and executing growth strategies, securing new business opportunities, and strengthening relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • The ideal candidate understands the marketing communications landscape and has a strong ability to translate client needs into strategic solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities across PR, digital marketing, creative, media, and integrated communications services
  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve revenue and growth targets
  • Generate leads through networking, industry engagement, referrals, and market research
  • Prepare compelling proposals, presentations, and pitches tailored to client objectives
  • Lead client acquisition processes from prospecting through negotiation and contract closure
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients and key stakeholders
  • Collaborate with internal creative, digital, and strategy teams to develop winning solutions
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide regular performance reports to management
  • Represent the company at industry events, meetings, and networking platforms.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field
  • 5 years experience in business development, sales, or client acquisition within an advertising agency, PR firm, digital agency, or IMC environment
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
  • Strong understanding of marketing communications, branding, digital media, and PR services
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and relationship-management skills
  • Strong commercial awareness and strategic thinking ability
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
