Job Title: Cluster Loan Officer (Trader Finance)

Location: Kwara

About the Role

• We are hiring Cluster Loan Officers to drive our trader loan product targeted at daily-income earners (market women, POS agents, artisans, transport operators, etc.).

This is a high-impact field role responsible for:

• Sourcing qualified traders 
• Disbursing small-ticket loans 
• Ensuring daily/weekly repayments 
• Managing a defined market cluster.

Key Responsibilities
Loan Origination:

• Identify and onboard traders within assigned clusters (markets, streets, hubs) 
• Educate customers on loan products and repayment structure 
• Build strong relationships with trader associations and market leaders 
• Meet weekly acquisition targets 

Collections & Recovery (Most Important):

• Drive daily/weekly loan repayments 
• Maintain repayment discipline within your cluster 
• Follow up aggressively on overdue accounts 

Cluster Ownership:

• Take full ownership of your assigned market/area 
• Build a strong borrower network within your cluster 

Performance Targets:

• Number of active borrowers onboarded monthly 
• Portfolio size within your cluster 
• Repayment rate.

Requirements

• Minimum of OND / HND / BSc Degree in any discipline 
• 1 - 3 years experience in: 
  • Microfinance / field credit 
  • FMCG sales 
  • Agency banking / POS business 
• Strong understanding of informal markets and trader behavior
• Ability to work on the field daily 
• Must be street-smart, assertive, and results-driven 
• Comfortable handling cash collections and repayment follow-ups.

Compensation

• Base Salary: N80,000 – N120,000 

High Commission on: 

• Loans disbursed 
• Repayments collected 
• Performance Bonuses for low default rates.
