African Natural Resources and Mines Limited (ANRML), established by African Industries Group, operates a fully integrated iron ore mining and processing plant in Gujeni village, Kagarko LGA, Kaduna state—the first of its kind in Nigeria.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Electrical Technician

Location: Gujeni, Kaduna
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary 

• The Electrical Technician is responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment in the pellet plant.
• The role ensures reliable plant operations by supporting all electrical maintenance activities in compliance with safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on electrical equipment such as motors, VFDs, MCCs, lighting systems, and control panels.
• Troubleshoot and repair faults in electrical circuits, switchgear, and power distribution systems.
• Inspect and test electrical systems and components using standard tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Carry out cable laying, terminations, and connections for motors and other equipment.
• Ensure proper functioning of safety systems such as earthing, emergency lighting, and power backups.
• Maintain accurate logs and records of work performed, parts used, and time spent.
• Comply with all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE usage, and electrical safety regulations.
• Support plant shutdowns and major maintenance work by executing assigned electrical tasks.
• Coordinate with instrumentation, mechanical, and operations teams for integrated plant maintenance.

Qualifications and Skills

• Technical Diploma or Trade Certificate in Electrical Engineering or Industrial Electrical Maintenance.
• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in a pellet plant or heavy industrial setting.
• Solid knowledge of LV and MV electrical systems, motors, VFDs, and circuit protection devices.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Familiarity with CMMS (e.g., SAP, Maximo) for work order and maintenance documentation.
