Job Title: Accountant

Location: Apapa, Lagos

Job Summary

• We are hiring a diligent and detail-oriented accountant to support the company’s financial operations and ensure
• accurate, compliant, and timely reporting.
• The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting knowledge, hands-on experience with financial transactions, and proficiency in tools like QuickBooks, Zoho to enhance financial accuracy, support audits, manage statutory obligations, and contribute to the organization’s overall financial efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and maintain accurate financial transactions, including receivables, payables, and bank reconciliations
• Prepare and issue invoices, track payments, and follow up on outstanding balances
• Monitor and apply correct tax entries (PAYE, WHT, VAT) on transactions and invoices
• Prepare basic financial reports, including profit and loss statements and customer balances
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and preparation of financial data for managementuse
• Assist with statutory remittances, audits, and compliance documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA).
• Training or coursework in taxation, financial reporting, or accounting software is a plus.
• With at least 2 years work experience.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Zoho and basic accounting tools.
• Solid understanding of tax computations and statutory requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
