Rotation and Precision Machines Limited specializes in the supply of power transmission products, bearings, conveyor spares, industrial hoses, tools, maintenance (predictive and preventive), lubrication, seals, pumps, valves, gaskets, electric motors, gears drives, standard sand, sealing adhesives, fasteners, vulcanizing components, welding solutions, automation parts, etc. The company’s services also include technical support, installations, servicing, procurement services, and consultancy.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Senior Sales Engineer

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

General Function & Key Objectives

  • Ensure achievement of business goals in product sales, sales growth, market share improvement, profitability, and customer satisfaction within the assigned territory.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Grow RPM Sales: Achieve the agreed sales budget for RPM brands
  • Develop sales in the assigned geographical territory through direct sales visits and contracted freelancers if any
  • Strictly follow and implement a guided sales strategy to achieve growth and sales targets
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with established customers through effective account management and attention to their needs
  • Assess and define customer applications to ensure the correct product representation and maintain integrity in product application
  • Promote RPM brands using a value-based sales process
  • Actively interact with customers to serve as a consultant in selling products
  • Follow up with existing customers with a high degree of commitment and professionalism
  • Set and maintain a clear and coherent sales activity agenda
  • Protect and promote RPM price positioning and premium
  • Achieve a minimum gross contribution of 30%
  • Reporting: Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports using sales tools and databases, including activities and market information such as customers, competitors, and ongoing actions
  • Support sales by conducting site surveys and providing technical advice to both existing and potential customers
  • Continuously improve technical knowledge on product technologies and applications
  • Support the full sales process including prospecting, discussions, demonstrations, exhibitions, reference selling, and negotiations to achieve targets
  • Maintain regular contact with all customers, spending 70% of time meeting existing and potential customers and identifying new ones, and 30% on negotiations and closing immediate prospects

Educational Requirements

  • BSc or HND in a related field with added advantage in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years corporate B2B direct selling experience in CMC industries including Cement, Mining, and Construction.

Skill Required:

  • Experience in sales of machines and parts such as compressors, pumps, valves, conveyors, belts, and other heavy machinery parts
  • Experience in a manufacturing or engineering company with proven high-performance sales records
  • Proven experience selling in CMC industries including Cement, Mining, and Construction
  • Strong passion for selling with a hands-on approach when required
  • Ambitious and performance-driven personality
  • Sound judgment and strong business sense
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Ability to build relationships with clients quickly
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Resilience and tenacity.
