Job Title: Procurement Officer (Spare Parts) – FMCG Experience Required

Location: Ibadan, Oyo

Job Summary

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Officer with proven experience in sourcing and purchasing spare parts within an FMCG environment.
• The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience using SAP and a strong understanding of procurement processes, vendor management, and inventory control.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and procure mechanical, electrical, and production spare parts in line with company requirements
• Manage end-to-end procurement processes: RFQs, vendor selection, negotiation, and purchase orders
• Ensure timely availability of spare parts to support uninterrupted production operations
• Maintain and update procurement records on SAP (purchase orders, GRNs, vendor data, etc.)
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors
• Monitor market trends to ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions
• Track orders and ensure timely delivery while resolving any supply issues
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures
• Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and store teams for accurate demand planning
• Conduct periodic vendor performance evaluations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
• 3–5 years of experience as a Procurement Officer (or similar role)
• Compulsory experience in an FMCG company
• Proven experience in sourcing and purchasing spare parts (mechanical/electrical)
• Hands-on experience using SAP (mandatory)
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
• Good knowledge of procurement processes and inventory systems
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
