We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Kitchen Cook

Location: Calabar, Cross River
Reports to: Head Chef / Production Supervisor
Direct Reports: Kitchen Assistants / Stewards

Main Function

• The Kitchen Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food according to menu specifications while maintaining high standards of taste, presentation, and hygiene.
• The role supports kitchen operations to ensure timely service and consistent food quality.

Role Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and menu requirements.
• Ensure consistency in taste, portion, and presentation of dishes.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workstation.
• Monitor inventory of ingredients and report shortages.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
• Assist in training and guiding junior kitchen staff.
• Coordinate with the Head Chef to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Qualifications and Requirements
Education and Certifications:

• Relevant certification or training in culinary arts or food preparation is an advantage.

Experience:

• 2–4 years’ experience as a cook in hotels, restaurants, or hospitality environments.
• Experience working in high-volume kitchens preferred.
