Job Title: Griller
Location: Calabar, Cross River
Reports to: Grill Supervisor / Head Chef
Direct Reports: None
Main Function
- The Griller is responsible for preparing and cooking grilled foods to high standards, ensuring quality, taste, and presentation. The role requires efficiency, consistency, and adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.
Role Responsibilities
- Prepare and grill meat, fish, and other items according to recipes and standards.
- Ensure proper portioning and presentation of grilled dishes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grill station.
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food quality.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of food items.
- Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
- Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Assist in prepping ingredients when necessary.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education and Certifications:
- Minimum of SSCE or equivalent.
- Culinary training is an advantage.
Experience:
- 2–3 years of experience in grilling or kitchen operations.
- Experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment preferred.
