Head of Collection at CyberCollect Limited

CyberCollect Limited is a new debt collection agency established in Lagos. We provide professional debt recovery services for banks, microfinance institutions, and telecommunications companies in Nigeria. Our mission is to ensure effective debt collection in compliance with legal and ethical standards, helping creditors minimize losses while assisting debtors in finding optimal solutions to their financial problems.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Head of Collection

Location: Lagos

Key Responsibilities

• Creation of a debt collection department from scratch: developing the structure, hiring, and training staff.
• Development of a comprehensive debt collection strategy for different types of credit portfolios (bank loans, MFO loans).
• Implementation and configuration of a CRM system for debt tracking, contact monitoring, and performance analysis.
• Development and implementation of call scripts, email templates, and SMS notifications in accordance with Nigerian legislation.
• Segmentation of debt portfolios based on:
  • Overdue payment periods;
  • Amounts;
  • Types of debtors;
  • Probability of loan repayment.
• Organization of work with external lawyers and bailiffs on cases of enforced debt recovery.
• Interaction with creditors (portfolio owners): preparation of reports, agreement on portfolio acquisition terms (agency model or debt purchase), and discussion of collection strategies.
• Ensuring compliance with Nigerian legislation (including data protection laws and rules for interacting with debtors).
• Optimization of collection costs while maintaining target recovery rates.
• Implementation of a motivation system for department staff based on achieving key performance indicators (amount of funds recovered, number of successful negotiations, compliance with regulatory requirements).
• Analysis of the effectiveness of collection methods and adjustment of strategies based on the data obtained.
