Job Title: Industrial Electrician

Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor / Plant Manager

Job Summary

• The Industrial Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex electrical systems and industrial machinery within plant and mill environments.
• The role requires strong technical expertise to ensure optimal equipment performance, safety compliance, and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and components in industrial settings.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and implement effective solutions promptly.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery and electrical systems.
• Interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and schematics accurately.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with safety standards and regulations.
• Diagnose and repair control systems, motors, panels, and wiring.
• Minimize equipment downtime by responding quickly to breakdowns.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs carried out.
• Collaborate with other maintenance and production teams to improve efficiency.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Industrial Electrician.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, industrial machinery, and control systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and technical manuals.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of safety procedures and regulations in industrial environments.
• Relevant technical certification or trade qualification is an added advantage.
