Job Title: Operations Supervisor
Location: Ikoyi, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Role Overview
- The Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring efficient inventory management, supervising staff, and supporting business growth through research, digital tools, and presentations.
- This role ensures that all production, packaging, and service delivery meet the brand’s quality and efficiency standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Supervision:
- Supervise daily bakery and production activities (desserts, juices, packaging)
- Coordinate staff schedules, workflow, and task assignments
- Ensure smooth execution of orders (corporate, events, walk-in, online)
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, quality control, and presentation
- Monitor staff performance and provide guidance/training
Inventory Management:
- Track and manage stock levels (ingredients, packaging, finished goods)
- Maintain accurate inventory records (daily, weekly, monthly)
- Monitor usage and reduce wastage
- Coordinate procurement and restocking
- Implement inventory systems (manual or digital tracking tools)
Digital & Administrative Skills:
- Use Microsoft Office tools:
- Excel → inventory tracking, costing, reports
- Word → documentation, SOPs, reports
- PowerPoint → presentations for internal meetings, clients, proposals
- Manage basic digital tools for operations (Google Drive, Canva, WhatsApp Business)
- Maintain organized digital records and reports
Research & Development (R&D):
- Research new product ideas (desserts, juices, packaging trends)
- Support development of new menu items and bundles
- Analyze competitors and market trends
- Work with management to improve product offerings and pricing strategies
Reporting & Performance Tracking:
- Prepare weekly/monthly operational reports
- Track sales trends, inventory usage, and production efficiency
- Provide insights and recommendations for improvement
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Accuracy of inventory records
- Reduction in wastage/losses
- Efficiency in order fulfillment
- Staff productivity and coordination
- Contribution to new product ideas and improvements
Qualifications
- HND / B.Sc. in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field
- 2–4 years experience in operations, hospitality, bakery, or food business
- Experience in inventory management is highly preferred
- Must reside within Ikoyi and Obalende
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Attention to detail (especially with inventory and quality control)
- Leadership and team management ability
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Basic digital/tech-savviness (Canva, WhatsApp Business, etc.)
- Analytical mindset for research and improvement
Bonus (Nice-to-Have):
- Experience in food production or bakery operations
- Experience creating presentations for business proposals
- Understanding of customer experience in hospitality
Salary
N150,000.00 per month.
