Job Title: Senior Accountant - MFB and Fintech
Location: Lagos
Job Summary
- We are looking for a skilled Senior Accountant with strong experience in Microfinance Banking (MFB) and/or Fintech.
- The ideal candidate will manage financial reporting, reconciliations, regulatory compliance, and support business decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly and annual financial reports
- Perform bank, wallet, and transaction reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements (CBN, tax filings)
- Manage general ledger and journal entries
- Monitor loan portfolios and fintech transactions
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and audits
- Maintain internal controls and financial processes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional certification (ICAN/ACCA) or in progress
- 4–7 years experience, including MFB or fintech
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting and compliance
- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and accounting software
Preferred:
- Experience with payment systems, wallets, or core banking platforms
- Prior experience in a fintech or startup environment
