We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst

Location: Lagos
Industry: Oil & Gas

Role Summary

• The SOC Analyst will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, investigating, and responding to security incidents across the organization’s IT environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of security operations, threat detection, and incident response.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor #security events and alerts using #SIEM and other security tools
• Analyze logs, network traffic, and system activities to identify potential threats
• Investigate and respond to security incidents in a timely manner
• Escalate complex incidents and support incident response activities
• Conduct threat hunting and #vulnerability assessments where required
• Maintain and update security monitoring tools and processes
• Document incidents, findings, and remediation actions
• Collaborate with IT teams to strengthen security posture and controls

Requirements

• B.Sc Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
• Proven experience in a SOC or #cybersecurity operations role
• Familiarity with SIEM tools (e.g., #Splunk, #QRadar, #ArcSight)
• Understanding of network protocols, #firewalls, #IDS/IPS, and #endpoint security
• Knowledge of common cyber threats, attack vectors, and mitigation techniques
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant certifications such as #CompTIA Security+, #CEH, 3CySA+, or similar
• Experience within the Oil and Gas industry is an added advantage
