The Councils major program areas are HIV&AIDS, reproductive health and poverty, gender, and youth. The Council conducts biomedical, social science and public health research and helps build research capacities in developing countries. The Population Council works in collaboration with a broad range of Nigerian institutions. Due to expansion of its activities.
 
The Council is seeking qualified individuals to fill the below positions:

Job Title: Laboratory Officer

Location:
Kaduna, Lagos

Job Description
The successful candidate will operate and maintain a standard medical laboratory at a newly established community- based outpatient clinic for men and sex partners who engage in high behaviors that predispose them to increased risks of HIV and other sexually transmitted infections and perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
The ideal candidates must have:
  • Minimum of Bachelors of Medical Laboratory Science degree
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant working experience in public or private, non-profit management. or related field.
  • Licensed by the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of MS Excel. Word, and PowerPoint required.
  • Ability and willingness to travel within the country and across the region on a regular basis
  • Strong analytic and communication skills, ability to write clearly and succinctly undertime pressure and to make well organized verbal presentations.
