The Population Council is an international, non-profit, non-governmental institution that seeks to improve the well-being and reproductive health of current and future generations around the world and help achieve a humane, equitable and sustainable balance between people and resources. The Councils major program areas are HIV&AIDS, reproductive health and poverty, gender, and youth. The Council conducts biomedical, social science and public health research and helps build research capacities in developing countries. The Population Council works in collaboration with a broad range of Nigerian institutions. Due to expansion of its activities.
 
The Council is seeking qualified individuals to fill the below positions:

Job Title: Mobilization Officer

Location:
Kaduna, Lagos

Job Description
  • The successful candidate will provide assistance in the full implementation and the day to day running of a community based clinics target at male most-at-risk sub-population at the state level,
  • S/he will provide technical support to the project partners in mobilizing members of the community for HIV prevention services.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate must have:
  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant working experience in public policy, non-profit management, or related field.
  • Basiccomputerskills and knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required.
  • Ability and willingness totravel within the country and across the region on a regularbasis
  • High degree of independence, creativity and commitment
  • Strong analytic and communication skills, ability to write cleady and succinctly under time pressure and to make well organized verbal presentations.
