Job Summary
- The Radiographer is responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images of patients' bodies using various imaging modalities, such as X-ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound, to help doctors diagnose and treat diseases.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct imaging examinations on patients, ensuring optimal image quality and patient safety.
- Position patients correctly and operate imaging equipment according to protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of examinations, including patient history and imaging data.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnoses.
- Ensure radiation safety and follow infection control protocols.
- Maintain and quality-check imaging equipment.
- Participate in quality assurance and continuous professional development.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Radiography/Radiation Therapy.
- Registration with relevant professional bodies (e.g., Nigerian Medical Radiographers' Association).
- Clinical experience in a hospital setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
