Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, preparing, and delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Support innovative and creative teaching methods to inspire pupils.
- Encourage active participation and enthusiasm for learning in the classroom.
- Assist in marking and assessing pupils’ work in line with school policies, providing constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of pupils’ academic progress.
- Apply Assessment for Learning strategies to support individualized learning needs.
- Use diverse teaching resources and methods suitable for different topics and learners.
- Participate in lesson observations and collaborative teaching improvement initiatives.
- Support inclusive learning by addressing diverse abilities, including learners with difficulties or disabilities (LDD).
- Stay updated with current subject knowledge and teaching practices.
- Provide additional academic support to pupils with learning challenges.
- Assist in report writing and internal grading processes.
Qualifications and Skills
- Relevant teaching qualification or degree.
- 1–2 years of experience working in a school environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and pupils.
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching.
- TRCN certification is an added advantage.
