We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: HR Specialist

Location: Benin, Edo
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The HR Specialist is responsible for managing and executing human resources functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training, and HR compliance.
  • This role ensures smooth HR operations and supports the overall organizational strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer HR policies, procedures, and programs in line with company guidelines
  • Coordinate recruitment, including job postings, interviews, selection, and onboarding
  • Manage employee records and maintain HR databases accurately
  • Support performance management processes, including appraisals and feedback
  • Assist in the development and delivery of training and development programs
  • Address employee relations issues and provide guidance to management and staff
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct HR reporting and prepare HR metrics for management
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and retention strategies
  • Assist with payroll coordination, benefits administration, and leave management.

Educational Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., CIPM, SHRM-CP, or equivalent) is an advantage.

Experience:

  • 2–5 years experience in a human resources role
  • Experience in recruitment, employee relations, and HR operations
  • Previous experience in the healthcare or service industry is an added advantage.

Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of HR principles and labor laws
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Good negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
