Job Summary

• We are seeking a qualified and experienced Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW) to join our medical team. The successful candidate will support patient care delivery, provide quality healthcare services, and ensure compliance with established clinical standards and protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor patients’ conditions, assess healthcare needs, and provide appropriate care and guidance.
• Perform routine clinical procedures such as vital signs monitoring, administering injections, and other basic clinical tasks.
• Accurately document and maintain up-to-date patient health records.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in line with physicians’ instructions.
• Provide prompt and appropriate care during emergency situations.
• Assist physicians during medical and minor surgical procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and patient-friendly clinical environment.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess an HND / OND with a minimum of one (1) year relevant work experience.
• Possession of a recognized CHEW qualification.
• Current registration with the appropriate regulatory body.
• Valid practicing license.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Skills and Abilities:

• Proficient in basic computer operations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Client-oriented, with the ability to handle complex or emotionally sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy.
