Job Title: System and Network Security Specialist (Cybersecurity)
Location: Lagos
Role Summary
- You will be responsible for securing enterprise systems, networks, and endpoints.
- You will monitor threats, respond to incidents, and implement robust security controls across the IT environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain security controls across systems, networks, and endpoints.
- Monitor and respond to security events, anomalies, and incidents.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analysis.
- Configure and manage firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security tools.
- Implement network segmentation and access control policies.
- Ensure systems are securely configured, hardened, and regularly updated.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related fields
- 4 - 7 years of relevant experience in IT or cybersecurity roles
- Strong understanding of network security concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS
- Hands-on experience with security tools including SIEM, EDR, NAC, and vulnerability scanners
- Experience with Windows Server, Linux, and Unix systems, including hardening and patching
- Proven experience securing enterprise systems, networks, and endpoints
- CCNP Security or CCNA Security certification is an added advantage.
