Job Summary
- We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Human Resource Manager to lead our HR operations.
- The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between management and employees by overseeing talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with Nigerian labor laws.
- You will be responsible for building a robust organizational culture that attracts, develops, and retains top talent in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Talent Management: Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle, including workforce planning, job postings, interviewing, and onboarding to ensure the company attracts high-caliber candidates.
- Policy Development: Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures that align with the company’s strategic goals and Nigerian labor regulations.
- Employee Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution, ensuring a healthy and productive work environment.
- Performance Management: Drive the performance appraisal system (e.g., KPIs, 360-degree feedback), linking results to training, promotions, and succession planning.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure strict adherence to the Nigeria Labour Act, Pension Reform Act, and NSITF regulations, mitigating legal risks for the organization.
- Compensation & Benefits: Administer payroll coordination, leave management, HMO, pension remittances, and bonus structures in a timely and accurate manner.
- Training & Development: Identify skills gaps and coordinate training programs to upskill employees and enhance productivity.
- HR Analytics: Prepare regular HR reports (turnover rates, recruitment metrics, staff satisfaction) for executive decision-making.
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc. or B.A.) in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or a related field.
- A Master’s degree (MBA or M.Sc.) in HR or a related discipline is an added advantage.
Experience:
- 5 - 10 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Proven experience working within a recruitment firm, consulting firm, or corporate services environment.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully implementing HR policies and managing employee grievances.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian Labor Law and statutory regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Proficiency with HRIS software, Microsoft Office Suite, and digital recruitment tools (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, Jobberman).
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and high emotional intelligence.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment.
- Strategic thinking with problem-solving aptitude.
Other Requirements:
- Certification: Professional certification in HR (CIPM, SHRM-CP, PHR, or HRCI) is mandatory.
- Age Range: 28 – 40 years.
- Gender: Open to qualified male and female candidates.
- Background Check: Must pass a rigorous pre-employment background verification and drug test.
- Availability: Immediate or maximum 2 weeks’ notice period.
- Tech Savviness: Must be comfortable with remote team collaboration tools (Zoom, Slack, Microsoft Teams).
