About the job
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Treasury Associate to support the organization’s cash flow management, liquidity planning, and financial risk control.
- The role will ensure efficient treasury operations, optimal cash utilization, and timely financial obligations, while supporting strategic financial decision-making across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor daily cash positions and ensure adequate liquidity to meet operational and strategic needs.
- Prepare and maintain cash flow forecasts (short-term and long-term).
- Optimise cash utilisation across business units and accounts.
- Execute and monitor all payments, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with approval workflows.
- Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Support the identification and management of financial risks, including liquidity and foreign exchange exposures.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, treasury policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for all treasury transactions.
- Prepare treasury reports including cash flow, liquidity position, and variance analysis.
- Provide insights to support financial planning and decision-making.
- Support month-end and year-end financial processes as required.
- Identify opportunities to improve treasury processes, automation, and reporting efficiency.
- Support implementation of treasury systems and tools where applicable.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Minimum of Second Class Upper (2:1) for Bachelor’s degree holders or Upper Credit for HND holders is required.
- 2–4 years’ experience in treasury, finance, accounting, or a related function.
- Professional certification (or in view) such as ICAN, ACCA, CFA is an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of cash management, banking operations, and financial controls.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems.
Must have skills:
- Knowledge of Treasury
- Proficiency in the use of accounting software and excel
- Attention to details.
