Job Title: Accountant

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• The Accountant will be responsible for managing the financial records of the bar, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, stock control, revenue reconciliation, and compliance with financial and tax regulations.
• The role supports management by providing timely financial reports and controlling costs.

Key Responsibilities

• Record daily sales, expenses, and cash transactions.
• Reconcile daily bar sales with POS and cash collections.
• Monitor and control inventory (drinks, consumables, bar supplies).
• Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports.
• Manage payroll and staff wages (if applicable).
• Track accounts payable and receivable.
• Ensure proper documentation of invoices and receipts.
• Assist with budgeting and cost control.
• Ensure compliance with tax obligations (VAT, PAYE, etc.).
• Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and regulators when required.

Requirements
Required Skills:

• Strong bookkeeping and accounting skills.
• Knowledge of POS systems and cash management.
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Good analytical and reporting skills.
• Integrity and confidentiality.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Salary
N50,000 - N100,000 per month.
