We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accounting Manager

Location: Dangote Cement Senegal POUT

Job Description

  • Maintain DCS financial records and accounts.
  • Supervise the maintenance of capital asset records and ensure proper accounting.

Key Activities and Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of financial policies and procedures.
  • Manage accounting activities to ensure financial integrity
  • Manage DCS expense accounts.
  • Manage journal entries on SAP
  • Supervise and ensure monthly closing activities in a timely manner
  • Approve supporting documents for accounting
  • Develop periodic financial reports to provide accurate, relevant financial information to assist management in making decisions.
  • Prepare and submit periodic activity reports on the periodic activity reports on the
  • Accounting activities.
  • Perform any other task entrusted to him by the Chief Financial Officer.

Qualifications and Professional Experience

  • Bachelor or its equivalent in finance or accounting.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional experience.

Skills and skills:

  • Good understanding of trends, challenges, opportunities, regulations and legislation related to the cement manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge in finance and accounting, including experience in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Working knowledge of relevant financial accounting/LEV systems, preferably SAP.
  • Good leadership and management skills.
  • Good communication and networking skills.
  • Good presentation and animation skills.
  • High integrity and ethical standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong practical knowledge of Microsoft Office.

HSE skills related to the position:

  • Know how to use firefighting
  • Know how to dispense first aid gestures
  • Know the OSH risks related to its activities as well as the control provisions
  • Know the environmental aspects and impacts related to its activities as well as the provisions of control
  • Know the provisions on waste management
  • Know how to provide a FREI and an FNC
