Job Title: Customer Service & Debt Recovery Officer

Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Job Summary

  • Our client is seeking a proactive and results-driven Customer Service & Debt Recovery Officer to manage client relationships, ensure excellent service delivery, and effectively follow up on outstanding payments.
  • The ideal candidate will combine strong communication skills with a firm but professional approach to debt recovery.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Service Duties:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, handling inquiries, complaints, and requests promptly
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and retention
  • Provide accurate information about company products, services, and payment plans
  • Resolve client issues efficiently and escalate when necessary
  • Keep detailed records of customer interactions and transactions

Debt Recovery Duties:

  • Follow up on outstanding payments through calls, emails, and other communication channels
  • Negotiate repayment plans with clients while maintaining professionalism
  • Monitor debtor accounts and track payment schedules
  • Ensure timely collection of payments in line with company policies
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on recovery activities and performance
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
  • 1–3 years experience in customer service, collections, or a similar role (real estate experience is an added advantage)
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle difficult conversations with tact and professionalism
  • Good organizational and record-keeping skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
