Job Summary

• We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support its legal operations.
• The successful candidate will assist in legal research, drafting of legal documents, case preparation, and general legal advisory services while ensuring compliance with Nigerian laws and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research on Nigerian laws, regulations, and case precedents relevant to Oil & Gas practice and review legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, agreements, opinions, and briefs
• Assist in case preparation, filings, and court processes
• Support senior lawyers in litigation, negotiations, and client advisory matters
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and legal procedures
• Liaise with courts, regulatory bodies, and relevant stakeholders as required
• Maintain accurate legal records, files, and documentation
• Meet assigned deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) and called to the Nigerian Bar
• Minimum of 1-2 years post-call experience
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian laws, legal procedures, and court processes
• Excellent legal research, drafting, and analytical skills
• Strong communication, advocacy, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail

Salary
