Job Summary

  • The Head of Projects & Asset Management is responsible for providing strategic leadership and end-to-end oversight of engineering, construction, and asset management activities.
  • The role focuses on delivering projects efficiently within scope, budget, and timelines while optimizing asset performance, ensuring operational reliability, and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering and construction projects.
  • Develop project strategies, execution plans, and schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Oversee asset management frameworks to optimize performance, reliability, and lifecycle of assets.
  • Monitor project budgets and expenditures, implementing effective cost control measures.
  • Manage contractor selection, negotiations, and performance evaluation.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, health, safety, environmental, and operational standards.
  • Provide leadership and direction to project and asset management teams.
  • Identify project risks and provide strategic recommendations to senior management.
  • Prepare and present periodic project performance and progress reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional membership with relevant engineering bodies.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management qualification (added advantage).
  • 12–15 years’ experience in engineering, construction, or project management within the oil and gas industry.
  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale engineering or infrastructure projects end-to-end.
  • Strong knowledge of project lifecycle management and industry regulations.
  • Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD, or similar.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
