We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Painter

Location: Benin, Edo
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Painter is responsible for applying paint, varnish, and other finishes to buildings, structures, and surfaces to protect them and improve their appearance.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, scraping, or filling holes and cracks
  • Mix paints and select appropriate materials and finishes
  • Apply paint, varnish, or other coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
  • Ensure even coverage and smooth finishing on all surfaces
  • Carry out minor repairs on walls and surfaces before painting
  • Protect surrounding areas from paint splashes and damage
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
  • Inspect completed work for quality and touch up where necessary

Requirements
Experience

  • 1–3 years of practical experience as a painter or in a similar role preferred
  • Experience in construction or maintenance work is an advantage

Other Requirements

  • Physically fit and able to perform manual work
  • Willingness to work indoors and outdoors in different conditions
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
  • Strong sense of safety awareness

Skills:

  • Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of painting tools and techniques
  • Ability to mix and match colors accurately
  • Physical stamina and ability to work at heights when required
  • Time management and ability to meet deadlines
  • Basic knowledge of safety procedures
