Job Description
- Effectively operate the roto-packer to ensure compliance with predefined loading targets.
Key Activities and Responsibilities
- Make sure the weight of the cement bag is within the required error limit and fill it to the desired weight if necessary.
- Ensure that a sufficient number of bags are available for cement packaging at each time and request additional bags from the relevant staff if necessary.
- Monitor the rotary conditioning machine during shifts.
- Clean the roto packer in compressed air during and at the end of each quarter.
- Ensure its safety by operating the roto packer in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Perform all the tasks requested by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Professional Experience
- Diploma in all areas.
- A minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience.
Skills:
- Basic knowledge of the cement manufacturing process
- Good knowledge of cement packaging machines / functions and procedures
- In-depth knowledge of roto-packer parts and their functions
- Good relationship management skills.
HSE skills related to the position:
- Know how to use firefighting means;
- Know the hazard pictograms;
- Know how to dispense first aid gestures;
- Know the OHS risks related to its activities as well as the control provisions;
- Know the environmental aspects and impacts related to its activities as well as the provisions of control;
- Know the right gestures and postures related to the handling of loads;
- Know the provisions on waste management.
