Shift Quality Assured Officer at L&Z Integrated Farms Nigeria Limited

L&Z Integrated Farms Nigeria Ltd incorporated in Nigeria on November 11, 2008, is located in Kano State, as an integrated dairy producer and processor that produce variant of Yoghurts, Fresh milk, Fura Da Nono, Greek Yoghurts, Satchet Yoghurt and Ice cream. L&Z has established a strong brand in the Nigerian dairy sector; standing out as an indigenous player with good quality dairy products and significant local presence across all six (6) geopolitical zones in Nigeria.

The Farm owns a large herd of cows (a cross breed of Frisian and local cows – Sokoto Gudali), which produces an average yield of 7- 8 litres per cow/day in contrast to 0.69 litres per cow/day from the indigenous breed. Similarly, the Company is an indigenous market leader in the production and processing of drinking yoghurt and sources 90% of its raw milk from local pastoralists across the milk collection centres strategically located in Kano State.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Shift Quality Assured Officer

Location: Kano

Job Accountabilities

• Examining and analysing all raw materials to ensure conformance to standards upon supply and ensure labelling appropriately.
• Conduct routine quality checks and analysis on raw materials in Inventory.
• Check packaging materials for basic quality defects, verify accuracy and completeness of data upon supply.
• Analysing In-process samples for various quality control checks.
• Operating the laboratory equipment and performing regular maintenance as required.
• Inspects and ensures high quality of product which matches pre- determined specifications
• Investigates customer complaints and any non-conformance issues
• Prepares reports, compiles and maintains records on product quality status, and all tests and inspections that have been conducted.
• Implements food tests and maintains schedule of testing.
• Inspects the facility to ensure a high level of cleanliness is maintained in order to meet food safety requirements.
• Assures ongoing compliance with quality and food safety regulatory requirements
• Coordinate and supports on site audits conducted by external providers
• Determines methods to resolve any quality or food safety compliance issues that arise.
