Job Title: International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Teacher / Instructor
Location: Owerri, Imo
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Summary
- An IELTS Teacher is responsible for preparing students for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) examination by improving their English language skills in listening, reading, writing, and speaking.
- The teacher helps learners achieve their target band scores through structured lessons, practice tests, and personalized guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach all four IELTS modules: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking
- Design lesson plans based on IELTS exam format and band descriptors
- Conduct regular practice tests and mock exams
- Assess students’ strengths and weaknesses and provide feedback
- Teach exam strategies, time management, and question techniques
- Improve students’ grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and fluency
- Track student progress and maintain performance records
- Provide one-on-one coaching where necessary
- Prepare students for both Academic and General Training IELTS
- Stay updated with changes in the IELTS exam format.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or related field (preferred)
- IELTS certification or proven experience with IELTS training
- Strong command of English (written and spoken)
- Excellent communication and teaching skills
- Experience in preparing students for exams is an advantage
- Ability to simplify complex English concepts
- Patience and strong classroom management skills.

Salary
N50,000 - N150,000 per month.
