Job Description

• A leading restaurant in Wuse 2, Abuja is seeking a skilled and reliable Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations.
• The successful candidate will help manage kitchen staff, ensure high-quality food preparation, and maintain smooth kitchen operations.

What You Will Do

• Assist the Head Chef in planning, preparing, and presenting dishes
• Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate daily kitchen operations
• Maintain food quality, hygiene, and safety standards
• Monitor inventory and assist with stock management
• Support menu development and recipe standardization
• Ensure timely preparation and delivery of meals
• Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff
• Develop new dishes and seasonal menu items
• Ensure proper portioning and plating according to standards
• Monitor kitchen equipment maintenance and cleanliness
• Collaborate with management to optimize kitchen workflow.

Who You Are

• 5 - 6 years of professional experience in a reputable kitchen
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
• Creative, detail-oriented, and passionate about food
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to train, mentor, and motivate kitchen staff
• Flexible and adaptable to changing menus and demands
• Culinary certificate/diploma preferred will be an advantage.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: N130,000 per month + N25,000 allowances (negotiable)
