Job Title: Hostel Administrator (Education Sector)

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• We are urgently recruiting for our client in the education sector for the role of Hostel Administrator

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day hostel operations and ensure smooth running
• Supervise and coordinate staff (security, cleaners, maintenance)
• Ensure safety, security, and overall well-being of students
• Manage student check-in/check-out and room allocation
• Handle student complaints, welfare issues, and conflict resolution
• Enforce hostel rules, policies, and disciplinary procedures
• Conduct routine inspections of rooms and common areas
• Monitor facility condition and coordinate repairs/maintenance
• Maintain accurate records of occupancy, incidents, and operations
• Respond to emergencies and manage crisis situations effectively
• Promote a safe, respectful, and community-focused environment
• Liaise with management and provide regular operational reports

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in hostel or residential facility management

Mandatory experience in:

• Proven experience managing residential facilities and supervising teams
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Good conflict resolution and stakeholder management ability
• High level of emotional intelligence and professionalism
• Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies
• Must be willing to reside within the hostel
• Preferred Industry experience in Student accommodation / hostel management,Universities or boarding schools,Residential property or facility management,Hospitality (hostels orserviced apartments).
