We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Surveyor, Transmission & Distribution

Location: Akwa Ibom

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct topographic, boundary, and site surveys for substation sites and associated infrastructure.
• Carry out setting-out for GIS/AIS substation layouts, transformer foundations, equipment bays, control buildings, cable trenches, drainage systems, and access roads.
• Establish benchmarks, control points, and survey reference grids for construction activities.
• Verify coordinates, elevations, and alignments of civil works against approved drawings and specifications.
• Prepare survey reports, contour maps, as-built drawings, and coordinate documentation.
• Support earthwork measurements, cut-and-fill calculations, and quantity verification for grading works.
• Coordinate with civil, electrical, and construction teams to ensure layout accuracy before execution.
• Ensure compliance with project standards, QA/QC procedures, and utility requirements.
• Operate and maintain survey equipment including total stations, GPS/GNSS systems, and auto levels.

Requirements

• Diploma / HND / Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
• 8–15 years of experience in surveying for high-voltage substations, power infrastructure, or large industrial projects.
• Proven experience in 33kV, 132kV, and 330kV substation projects preferred.
• Proficiency in Total Station, GPS/GNSS, AutoCAD, Auto Level, and survey data processing software.
• Strong knowledge of topographic mapping, leveling, and construction setting-out methods.
• Familiarity with transmission and distribution project standards is an added advantage.
