Job Title: Business Development Lead

Location: Ogudu GRA, Lagos

Role Overview

  • We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Business Development Lead to drive revenue growth and expand market presence within the oil and gas upstream sector.
  • The role focuses on lead generation, opportunity conversion, and bid execution, particularly across EPCIM (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation & Maintenance) and Manpower Supply services.

Key Responsibilities
Market Expansion & Opportunity Identification:

  • Identify and develop new client accounts within the oil and gas sector.
  • Map decision-makers across IOCs, independents, and service companies.
  • Conduct market intelligence and competitor analysis.

Contract Acquisition & Revenue Growth:

  • Secure contracts across EPCIM and manpower supply services.
  • Convert leads into viable business opportunities.
  • Support negotiations for favorable commercial outcomes

Strategic Networking & Client Engagement:

  • Build strong industry networks.
  • Represent the company at technical meetings, workshops, and trade events.

Bid Management & Tender Execution:

  • Prepare and submit bids and tenders according to technical and commercial specifications.
  • Track submissions on NIPEX and other platforms.
  • Collaborate with technical teams for competitive proposals.

Partnership Management:

  • Identify and manage strategic alliances.
  • Leverage partnerships to enhance service offerings.

Performance Tracking & Reporting:

  • Track KPIs such as pipeline value and bid success rate.
  • Report on performance and market insights.

Person Specification 
Education, Experience & Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
  • 6–8 years’ experience in oil and gas business development.
  • Proven track record in lead generation and contract acquisition.
  • Good understanding of the upstream oil and gas sector.
  • Familiarity with NUPRC, NNPC, NCDMB, and NIPEX processes.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of tendering platforms (NIPEX, NOGIC JQS, ARIBA, SMART).
  • Ability to prepare proposals and feasibility inputs.

Success Indicators

  • Growth in opportunity pipeline.
  • Contracts secured.
  • Bid success rate.
  • Expansion into new markets.
  • Commissions will be available on the respective deals closed.

Salary
N350,000 - N500,000 / month.
