Job Title: Business Development Manager

Role Summary

  • The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving long-term organizational growth by building strategic partnerships and uncovering new revenue streams.
  • You will move beyond traditional "sales" to analyze market trends, negotiate high-value contracts, and position the brand as a leader in a competitive landscape.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Market Expansion:

  • Lead Generation: Identify and pursue new B2B opportunities, including corporate accounts, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions), and luxury travel consortia.
  • Competitor Analysis: Regularly audit the "comp set" to identify gaps in the market and adjust the property’s value proposition accordingly.
  • Partnership Ecosystem: Develop and manage relationships with OTAs (Online Travel Agencies), local tourism boards, and lifestyle brands for cross-promotional opportunities.

Revenue & Pipeline Management:

  • Contract Negotiation: Lead the bidding process for major corporate tenders and group bookings, ensuring favorable terms and sustainable margins.
  • Revenue Collaboration: Work closely with the Revenue Management team to align business development efforts with seasonal pricing and occupancy targets.
  • CRM Mastery: Maintain a robust pipeline within the CRM, providing accurate weekly forecasts on "on-the-books" business and future prospects.

Brand Positioning & Innovation:

  • Product Development: Feedback market insights to the operations team to help create new guest packages (e.g., "workations," sustainable travel retreats, or wellness experiences).
  • Networking & Representation: Act as the face of the brand at international trade shows (ITB, WTM), local business chambers, and industry networking events.
