Job Title: Minder (Childcare Assistant)
Location: Sar Road, Port Harcourt - Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Summary
- A Minder is responsible for the care, safety, and well-being of children in a school or home environment. The role involves supervising children, assisting with daily routines, and supporting their emotional and physical development.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times
- Assist children with feeding, dressing, and personal hygiene
- Support teachers or parents with daily childcare routines
- Engage children in play, learning, and developmental activities
- Maintain a clean and organized environment
- Monitor children’s behavior and report any concerns
- Provide emotional support and comfort when needed
- Assist during school activities, outings, or nap time
Requirements
- Interested candidates should possess an SSCE/OND with 2-3 years experience.
- Experience in childcare or working with young children is an advantage
- Must be patient, caring, and attentive
- Good communication skills
- Physically fit and able to handle active children
- Basic knowledge of child safety and hygiene
