Sitrid is an acronym for Steps In The Right Direction. It is a 21st century based Nursery and Primary school which opened a little over 10 years ago. It caters for children between the ages of 3 months - 11 years (Daycare to Grade 6). It is a highly technology based school with dedicated teachers and staff. SIS is located on the South- West of Port Harcourt (50-56 Rumuevorlu Mini Orlu Road off Ada George Way, Port Harcourt) on a beautiful 8 plots of land. Job Summary

• We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Biology and Agric teacher to join our middle school team.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching biology and agriculture to students in 7-9, creating engaging lesson plans, and fostering a love of learning in a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach biology and agriculture: Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans to students in Year 7-9.
  Keep parents informed about student progress and involvement during parents-teachers meeting as well as
• Create a supportive learning environment: Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
• Assess student progress: Develop and implement assessments to evaluate student understanding and progress.
• Collaborate with colleagues: Work with other teachers to develop curriculum and share best practices.
• Communicate with parents:

Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Agriculture or a related field
• Teaching certification: TRCN
• Experience: Previous teaching experience, especially in biology and agriculture, is an asset.

Skills:

• Strong communication skills: Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Lesson planning: Ability to develop engaging and effective lesson plans.
• Classroom management: Ability to manage a classroom and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Technology: Competetnt at the use and integration of technology in the classroom.
