We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Lead, Mechanical

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the entire plant in machine repairs during shift and minimize losses from machine breakdown.
  • Extract and analyse mechanical data for production process. Support corrective maintenance and ensure proper troubleshooting and knowledge transfer.
  • Manage repair activities and modification process. Evaluate the performance of shift technicians and maintenance technicians with regards to solving machine issues.
  • Assess and train technicians and operators in basic machine repairs.
  • Support and maintain inventory requirements for mechanical component.
  • Collaborate and manage external resources as regards to machine repairs.
  • Prepare, execute and evaluate required machine breakdown history to minimize repair time
  • Develop mechanical contingency plan (obsolence management).
  • Organize third party services with regards to mechanical support (e.g. teleservice and emergency support).
  • Support the production team in translation of technical requirement from new product/recipe developments and implementation of these changes via modifications.
  • Develop and maintain database of all beverage plant mechanical data (settings, sensitivity, parameters etc.) Provide at least one improvement/innovative idea to enhance continuous improvement in the process.

Job Requirements

  • B.Eng, BSc, or HND qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Mechanical Control System Engineering.
  • Professional certifications, such as COREN, NSE, IEEE, is required
  • Minimum of 7 years relevant experience in process automation, preferably in a manufacturing / production environment.
