We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Project Engineer II

Location: Seplat House, Lagos
Employment Type: Contract

Main Functions

• Performs engineering design evaluations and works to complete projects within budget and schedule constraints.
• Reviews industry policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Reviews reports on production, malfunctions, and maintenance to identify and resolve issues.
• Provides technical support for the engineering process.
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform job functions.
• Works under immediate supervision.
• Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.
• Provides backup support to the Project Manager as required.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Participates in Invitation to Tender (ITT) development, bid evaluation, and contractor selection
• Participates in the identification and sourcing of long-lead equipment, ensuring Front End Engineering Design (FEED) contractor support until equipment is assigned to the contractor
• Coordinates the development of CCAP (Company Capital Project Management) Gate 3 deliverables
• Coordinates the development of the Functional Interaction Plan
• Coordinates the project issue resolution process
• Coordinates change requests and endorses change authorizations
• Responsible for the completion of assigned work scope in line with project objectives
• Engages the Project Team and functional resources to ensure design and construction align with project specifications and standards
• Serves as the interface between the Project Team and contractor
• Ensures smooth transitions between project stages
• Leads the Project Management Team (PMT) in applying Project Management Systems

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering field
• Experience across multiple assignments in engineering, construction, and project management and controls activities
• Broad range of experience and skills across multiple functions and project assignments (multi-discipline skill set)
• Strong knowledge of design standards, specifications, and work processes
• Strong leadership, influencing, and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational, coordination, planning, and interface management skills
• Ability to work under tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and changing priorities
• Excellent communication skills with proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs
