Job Title: Fleet Maintenance Officer
Location: Lagos

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all vehicles in the fleet.
- Monitor vehicle condition and ensure timely servicing and repairs.
- Coordinate with external vendors, mechanics, and service providers for maintenance work.
- Conduct regular vehicle inspections to identify faults and ensure roadworthiness.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance history, repairs, and costs.
- Track and analyze fleet performance metrics (downtime, repair frequency, cost efficiency).
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, licensing, and statutory requirements.
- Manage and control spare parts inventory and workshop tools.
- Investigate and report on vehicle breakdowns and incidents, recommending corrective actions.
- Support cost optimization initiatives by reducing maintenance expenses and improving vehicle lifespan.
- Work closely with operations teams to ensure fleet availability aligns with delivery schedules.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field
- 2–5 years’ experience in fleet or vehicle maintenance (preferably in logistics or transport industry)
- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair processes
- Experience managing third-party service providers and workshops
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and fleet management systems
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
